Miriam Wahr, Mozambique
Miriam
currently lives with the Ayling family on the Maziotela Farm in
the Monapo district of Nampula Province in the north of Mozambique.
She is trained as a Paediatric Nurse, and before she came to World Outreach attended YWAM Discipleship Training School and was involved with a number of short-term outreaches in Kosovo, Guyana, Mali and other countries.
Her main work is in 'Mercy Ministry', in training village Health Care Workers in using natural medicines, making ointments, and treating wounds etc. She encourages specific villages to build a Health Care Centre, where the Health Care Workers can treat the local people.
Miriam is also involved in:
- community based health care
- encouraging a feeding program for orphans and malnourished
babies
- Caso de Lazaro - a small house on Maziotela where one or two
malnourished babies stay with Carers to recover
- monthly visits to the local prison with food and natural medicines,
to share and help
