Jane Torrey at Jesus Abbey, Korea
Jane
Torrey, now over 80, has spent the last 43 years in Korea.
She works from Jesus Abbey, in the Taebaek Mountains of Kangwondo, South Korea, an international Christian community of over 100 people that receives 10,000 visitors a year.
The primary purpose of the Abbey, governed by a council of elders, is to engage in intercessory prayer for the nation, for the church, for the world and for individuals whose needs come to their attention.
Jane is an artist.
Jane's recently departed husband Archer wrote a book entitled "Biblical Economics" (published by Xlibris Corporation, February 2002).
