Steve and Rebekah Besford, Mozambique
Steve and Rebekah are now based at Maforga Christian
Mission in Mozambique, working alongside a number of Mozambican
nationals and ex-pat workers.
Maforga provides a number of services to the local population including an Orphanage, a 450 pupil Primary school, a Technical School, and a Medical Centre, and runs a Community-based orphan programme, this including a feeding program for orphaned babies.
Rebekah is working in the Medical Centre. The clinic sees up to 300 people per week coming from a 40km radius. Many illnesses and conditions are treated but the main health need of the area is malaria.
Steve oversees the administration of all the medical work at Maforga. He is also involved in the prison ministry and visiting a local Church on a weekly basis.
