More About World Outreach
When We Began
World Outreach was founded by Len Jones and first registered in 1932 as a non-profit organisation. Ministry first began in eastern Russia and eastern Europe helping refugees and displaced families during the period of the communist uprising.
Who We Are
World Outreach is a non-denominational, multi-racial fellowship of Christian men and women of all ages, serving God around the world in mission, who are committed to shared mission, vision and values.
Why We Exist
World Outreach's mission is "to win and disciple the lost for Christ worldwide." To this end we facilitate the linking of missionaries, national co-workers, churches and supporters in voluntary partnership. We are committed to such united partnerships discovering and fulfilling God's call on their respective lives.
What We Do
World Outreach currently works in about 60 nations. We have been called by God to develop strategic ministries in developing nations and the unevangelised world. These include:
- training church leaders
- giving practical humanitarian care
- church planting among the unreached
- reaching children for Christ
- facilitating the placement of non-western missionaries.
Financial Policy
World Outreach is a faith mission. By the grace of God all field personnel raise their own personal support and trust God to supply funding for ministry projects.
Sound stewardship is a hallmark of our ministry.
We strive to be responsible in our management and highly cost effective in the promotion of our personnel and their ministry. We honour the donor's intention for every gift.
Mode of Operation
World Outreach is lead by the International Director, John Elliott. An independent board of Christian leaders monitors the policies and procedures. A Council of senior World Outreach mission personnel is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Mission.
World Outreach has legally constituted national offices which assist in promoting and facilitating the financial administration of mission personnel and ministries.

World Outreach continues to develop a dynamic, relevant, biblically-based international mission organisation, responsive to contemporary needs, in order to effectively win and make disciples for Christ.
Our Goal
To reach the most people - in the least time - by the best possible means.
Our Rôle
World Outreach is called to help churches and believers catch a vision and the awareness that all are called to mission, and to facilitate them in reaching out into a hurting world with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
In a networking relationship with sending churches, World Outreach takes responsibility 'on the field' for helping endorsed personnel to succeed in their God-given calling.
