Who is World Outreach?
World Outreach is an interdenominational faith mission which seeks to move with the flow of the Holy Spirit in it's mission outreach, and to offer a channel for both churches and individual Christians to participate in a meaningful missions programme worldwide.
The mission was founded in 1932, and worked first only in Europe under the name Russian and Eastern European Mission. With the fall of the iron curtain, it changed it's name to Slavic Mission, concentrating efforts on displaced Slavic peoples worldwide. From there the mission expanded into Asia as the Slavic and Oriental Mission, and in 1968 changed it's name finally into World Outreach.
World Outreach UK works closely with World Outreach International based in Singapore, and with all the other national offices of World Outreach in Australia, Canada, Holland, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa and the United States of America.
World Outreach is not affiliated to any other 'World Outreach' that you may come across on the web, although there are other organisations with 'World Outreach' in their name.
The Present.
Over three hundred full-time personnel are serving in different World Outreach ministries today, reaching into more than 60 nations on 5 continents. For example, regular ministry is now taking place in many Indian sub-continental nations, in Indo-China, China itself and nations in north-east Asia. And from a number of World Outreach bases in Africa, our missionaries are reaching into many other nations on this continent.
The Future.
We praise God for all that He has done in the past 70 years through World Outreach. But we are excited with passion and vision for what He plans to do in the near future.
We remain committed to facilitating valid and strategic ministries world-wide as well as mobilising, teaching, training and equipping others.
Loren Cunningham, founder of YWAM said, "If we are willing to give up our 'rights' then there are no nations of the world that we cannot go to."
The Great Commission has not yet been fulfilled. We in World Outreach want to do our part in seeing the task completed.
